Chilling out at Killington, mostly.

Tuesday 14th May

This was the first of the summer sessions at Killington. The day was wet and windy, but at Killington it was dry and calm. Seven club members turned up mostly wanting a leisurely, sociable paddle. We set off to reccy the 4km timed route and Giles and Graeme decided to give it a go. Sally timed while the others went for a potter round the lake. Giles took over a minute off his previous time to set a new record of 29.50. If you fancy a go it is a really good exercise to concentrate on effective forward paddling.

The next session is on the 11th June when John will be leading a session on towing. If you don’t fancy that you can just turn up for a paddle or to practice things you want to work on.
