Pool skill sessions

Our informal skills sessions take place at Kendal Leisure Centre from 8.30pm till 9.30pm on Monday evenings. See the calendar for dates /details.  Members, guests, beginners / improvers and experts are very welcome.

These friendly and informal pool sessions will allow you to pick up or practice kayaking skills and meet like minded paddlers. They are a great way of practicing difficult skills in a safe and warm environment. Whether you want to learn to roll, refine those recoveries, these skills sessions are what you need.

skill 2

Though skills sessions are informal, coaches and other experienced paddlers are on hand to give help and point you in the right direction.

Numbers for each session are limited, and sessions often fill quickly.

Equipment is provided, though some prefer their own decks and paddles (if they are not sharp!).

Members will need to RSVP to book a place.

Before attending a session, non-members need to complete the on-line guest form then request a place via email.

All will need to pay in advance by BACS; details, including price, are on the calendar.

Please familiarise your self with pool use requirements, Pool use link.

Members with experience are welcome to come along and help out at the pool sessions. Typically this is with personal skills, support strokes, rolling. Sea kayak sessions can also involve rescues. If you can help please contact Mike Powell.
